Matariki – Ngā Whetū o te Tau Hou
A new planetarium show is now playing at Stardome Observatory.
The audio from the show was produced here, with narration being recorded in our specialist vocal booth.
The original score was also composed and produced here. It was a tight turnaround; with the show getting the go-ahead only 5 weeks before it’s release date, but we managed to throw full resources at it to get the audio over the line. It’s always great fun producing music for these types of shows. The blend of spacy/ethereal with earthy/real moods is a great juxtaposition to work to. We combined midi instruments and electronic production with live acoustic and electric guitars and percussion to create a unique sounding score to enhance the experience.
