This new song Prisoner was recorded and mixed at Huntaway Sound studio. Featuring drums by Alistair Deverick and backing vocals by Mikey Brown.
This is a moody prog rock ballad with dramatic pointed lyrics.
The track was put together using the drum take as a baseline. Starting with acoustic guitar and bass, which established the feel and groove of the track, we then added synth and electric guitars to flesh it out. The backing vocals from Mikey were an absolute paradigm shift for the song, giving it a lush, textured, dreamy coating.
