Sandpiper

Sandpiper band

Sandpiper

Sandpiper are a professional covers duo consisting of electric guitar and 2 x vocals. Also available as a trio with guitar, bass and 3 x vocals, and as a 4 piece with drums.

Sandpiper is the coming together of musicians Dylan Storey and Catherine Walker, who join forces to take you on a journey of late 60s/early 70s easy-listening rock by the likes of Cat Stevens, The Temptations, Carly Simon and many more. The band has a strong emphasis on vocal harmonies and catchy songs that are a bit off the beaten track compared to the usual covers band repertoire, but still well known and ‘sing-alongeable’.

They have been playing bars, weddings and functions in the Auckland region since mid 2017 and have developed a reputation for winning over audiences. They can adjust the music to suit the occasion/mood, ranging from intimate jazz to party country and rock.
